I am Ms. Torres and I teach Algebra 1.  I am excited to be at Pittsburg High, as I am a graduate of the school.  After graduation, I went to college, where I acheived the following: AA in Liberal Arts (Diablo Valley College), BA in Mathematics (San Francisco State University), and MA in Math Education and Single Subject Credential (University of California, Berkeley).  After graduating, I decided to return to PUSD to teach.  

 

I have been in the district many years.  I started as a math teacher at Hillview Jr High.  After 5 years, I became a math and instructional coach, then returned to the classroom 4 years ago at Rancho Jr. High.  I decided to move over to Pitt this year.
